January 26 Trail Clearing
Big day at the park! We walked around for a while early, then met Larry to review the bridge repair. After that, Mike Siltman and his two sons, Elijah and Israel, came by. Since we couldn't do any bridge work, Mike grabbed his chain saw and off we went to clear a newly fallen tree from the trail just before the third creek crossing. Israel, in the orange cap, is seen hefting a log section onto the pile and Elijah is keeping a safe distance with the vine pruners as Dad handles the saw. Then, a happy portrait of the woodsmen after the work is done. Thanks for the help guys!!!

Thanks for clearing the trail, it looks like it was a lot of work!
I'm signed up for April's 150 miler so it will sure be nice not to have to deal with downed trees during it! :-)
THANK YOU!
